THE COUPLE

After a blissful year as high school sweethearts, Kirk decided to make his relationship with Taylor ring-official. On a weekend trip to San Diego, he convinced Taylor to go skydiving with him. Kirk jumped first, and when Taylor left the plane she saw a huge sign on the ground, asking her if she would be Kirk’s wife. He properly asked on one knee as she returned to Earth. She said yes, and they began their lifetime adventure together!

THE WEDDING

One year and three months later on June 22, 2019, Taylor and Kirk said their “I Dos” in the quiet, bohemian charm of Sportsman’s Paradise at White’s Ranch in Paradise, UT. The venue is special to Taylor and her family, having served as a Christmas Party host for her entire childhood. Fittingly, she sealed the deal with her true love among a symphony of olive green and berry florals in front of all of their friends and family.

The moment I started walking down the aisle and saw the look on his face, everything else just melted away,” Taylor says.  “All the days of stress before, people not showing up, making sure everything was perfect leading up to that one moment, washed away.”

The couple shared vows they wrote themselves, and Taylor admitted it was a lot more difficult to write up meaningful vows than she’d thought. Kirk was another story.

“Day after day I would write mine, keep looking over them, and rewrite them because I was thinking so hard,” she shared. “Kirk, on the other hand, just winged it. His vows could not have been more perfect, and had everyone in the crowd in tears.”

After a perfectly rustic reception, entirely planned and brilliantly executed by Taylor’s mom, the couple shared their first dance to “Faithful” by Journey.

THE MOOD

The Baguley’s nuptial celebration was perfectly bohemian – a carefree bride in an effortlessly stunning gown, met with dainty florals and a joyful groom. Photographer Kevyn Bruce couldn’t have been happier:

“It was such an honor to photograph Taylor and Kirk’s wedding. Taylor was so down to earth and I knew her wedding would reflect that. I think my favorite part of the wedding was that Taylor and all of her bridesmaids were barefoot. There’s just something about an outdoor wedding and barefoot brides that make my heart sing! Taylor and Kirk had the perfect summer wedding and I’m so glad they trusted me to capture their memories.”

THE MENU

The couple accented their perfect day with an old-fashioned candy theme at the wedding celebration. Guests pored over an endless selection of traditional sweets, and topped it all off with vanilla and raspberry wedding cake from Lee’s Marketplace.
