Don’t get us wrong, we’ll always have an affinity for the traditional ivory gown but with so many gorgeous black dresses out there, we get wanting to switch it up.

“This shoot was so much more special than I could have imagined. I am a Seattle based wedding photographer who was born in St. George! Utah has always had a special spot in my heart. I was visiting St. George with my fiance and decided to set up a styled shoot while I was down there.
Before the shoot my fiance told me he was “scouting locations” for the session while I was getting some work done in the car. He came back and said he found the perfect spot and wanted me to come see it. We started walking towards this gorgeous plateau by the water. Then he helped pull me up onto the lookout in Sand Hollow. There was a white canvas blanket, with a vase of flowers, a professional photographer and my family watching from afar. Next thing I knew, he was down on one knee PROPOSING! It was the best day of my life. 30 minutes after getting engaged was my styled shoot. My sweet model Brittany texted me “I’m here!” and when I told her I just got engaged she asked if we should reschedule. I said “no way, this will be the best styled shoot I’ve ever done”. I went into this styled shoot absolutely elated and inspired.
Brittany Ence was a dream to work with, Jocelyn’s Floral did a stunning job with the flowers, and Lulu’s is always a good place to get high quality dresses on a budget. This was the most amazing day and I couldn’t be happier.”
