The Couple
Utah locals Tiffani and Taylor found each other during a time when they needed a place of safety and strength. In the two years they were together, both endured the tremendous loss of seven family members and friends—and through the heartbreak, their bond became a sacred anchor of resilience. During her journey of emotional healing, Tiffani found clarity on the serene shores of Hawaii, and that’s exactly the place Taylor decided to pop the question a year later.
Outside their beachfront bungalow on the North Shore, Taylor invited Tiffani on a moonlit stroll down to the water. While Tiffani doodled their initials in the sand, he steeled his nerves, pulled out the ring box and lowered to one knee. Tiffani answered his question with an immediate yes. “Now [Hawaii] is not just my place of healing,” says Tiffani. “It’s our place of new beginnings.”
The Wedding

Tiffani and Taylor waffled for a bit if they wanted to mark their union offshore or at home. In the end, the couple decided to surround themselves with the familiar landscape of Utah’s mountains at The Lodge at Blue Sky in Wanship. Leaning into the venue’s bucolic setting, Tiffani chose to “let nature set the scene; the crisp mountain breeze, wild native plants and the golden sunset painting the sky.” When it came to the color palette and decor, the couple handed the reins to wedding planner Braelynn Tuitupou of Belle Bodas Events, who elevated the outdoor venue with natural tones, elegant loungers and indigenous flora. Wedding guests settled in outside the property’s mountaintop yurt to witness the ceremony.
Opting against a first-look, Taylor set eyes on Tiffani donning an elegant Galia Lahav gown with a plunging neckline and a shimmering sheer skirt. Taylor worked with the tailors at Jack Suits in Salt Lake City to create a custom look with deep olive tones and a patterned vest. To maintain a sense of intimacy, the couple scrapped the traditional wedding party and were instead joined at the altar by their two sons, and Taylor’s best-friend-turned officiant.
The Party

After the “I Dos,” the guests and newlyweds made their way to the plein-air reception space, where Blue Sky’s chefs laid out a relaxed yet elevated BBQ-style feast featuring local ingredients and flavors of the Mountain West. Toast and trips down memory lane ensued, shared alongside saved seats for lost loved ones. “It was our way of keeping them close as we began this new chapter,” Tiffani reflects.
To signal the start of the party portion of the evening, Tiffany slipped into a fringed minidress and blinged-out cowgirl boots. The DJ spun up some high-energy music that filled the open sky with the sounds of love and lured barefoot partygoers onto the dance floor. Afterward, the happy couple returned to Blue Sky Lodge for a late-night dip in the pool and their first overnight stay as Mr. and Mrs.
