On today's installment of Wedding Indulgence Wednesday on Twitter, Jacque Riehl of Riehl Events and Mara Marian-Harwood of LMG Events tweeted about all things delicious for the big day: catering, bars and cakes.

Here's a round-up of this week's fave finds...

Jacque's Fave Find -

My Wedding Indulgence Wednesday fave for the week is a great DIY wedding. For a DIY, this wedding from Inspired by This is really well put together and done right:

Your food and beverage creates a mood with your event and makes for a festive environment. Making your food and beverage a part of your design will really bring together the day and make it picture perfect as well as make something guests will really enjoy and not forget for a very long time! Can you say yum? We can!

Mara's Fave Find -

My favorite tweet today was the fruit and veggie bar inspiration from Mod Wedding Blog:

This idea just blew the socks right off my manicured little feet... what a killer idea! I don't know if I've been under a rock, but I have not seen a fruit and veggie bar styled this well, EVER. This is an incredible idea for a wedding reception cocktail hour, or even for other showers and events. This is a healthy alternative to the candy and dessert buffets. If the bar is within your color palette, you could even select fruits and veggies that support that color scheme.

The use of artichokes, cabbage and brussel sprouts as decor and floral elements is innovative and supports the design. YES-that is cabbage in the photos, not any sort of floral. Watermelon cubes, cherry tomato cups and fruit tartlettes are compliments with styled stationery tags and signage. This highly styled bar makes fruits and veggies beyond your typical Super Bowl Sunday veggie platter spread.

Tessa's Fave Find -

Nothing against traditional wedding cakes (white butter cream is one of my all time favorite indulgences), but sometimes it's nice to mix dessert up a bit, and fresh-baked pies are a perfect alternative. Take a peek at these scrumptious offerings as shown on Inspired By This...

Pies lend themselves to weddings in all seasons: think lemon chiffon and cherry pie in summer or pumpkin and pecan pie in fall. Or, mix it up, and create a pie dessert buffet, with an assortment of pies, large and small. Consult with your caterer about fun flavor combos and cool display ideas.
