Jacque's Fave Find:
OK, so sometimes technology doesn't always cooperate with us and that was the case with Twitter, Hootsuite and Riehl Events posting for Wedding indulgence Wednesday. Unfortunately, a good portion of our posts didn't go today and it was one of my FAVORITE subjects, color! So we're going to highlight one of the posts that didn't go because I am in LOVE with red this year and any shade of red, be it coral, salmon, deep red, or just simply primary red! This wedding from Inspired By This is a perfect example on how to incorporate red into your day in a fun and light hearted way.
Notice that they didn't vary the shade at all, but that they used a lot of different textures and patterns with the same red. This creates depth and life to the colors so they don't become dull and boring.
You either want to do this with textures and prints or make sure you use a wide variety of shades when you are using strong colors like red, or just one color with neutrals.
Red, the color of passion, love, roses, and our favorite color of the year! Embrace it, enjoy it....but use it wisely!

If you're not familiar with pinterest yet, YOU NEED TO GET WITH IT, now! Pinterest is a great website where you can "pin" articles and photos that inspire you anywhere online so you can easily find them for future reference. You can create lots of different pinboards that are focused around different topics. For instance, my Pinterest boards include a stationery board, bridal fashion finds, amazing cakes, DIY projects and more. I encourage all of my clients to use Pinterest to organize all their ideas for their own events. I refer to my pinterest often when looking for inspiration in my designs. You can also "follow" other people's boards and "repin" their pins if you love them too. Be sure to check it out, you'll be immediately obsessed.
Jen at Pretty Pen Studio and I have worked together in the past, her work is phenomenal. I love her work and I love following her inspiring pinboards. The link I featured today to her "Pink & Black" wedding inspiration pins is one of my favorite boards she's created. Any bride considering this color palette absolutely must pour through her carefully curated pins. From flowers, to cakes and even fashion, no detail was left unpinned. Many industry folks and brides have created boards of their favorite wedding inspiration finds, in every color. Enjoy!

Color is such a fun and important part of planning your wedding. From bridesmaid dresses to reception decor it is displayed throughout the ceremony, so of course, its essential to pick a color you love that shows your personality. One of the most popular color combos I've seen this year happens to be one of my all time favorites as well: Yellow + Grey. Jacque tweeted this soft, stunning wedding from The Wedding Chicks. I love how subtle the use of color is throughout the shots. You don't have to go overboard with bright colors, just small accessories and a tiny incorporation of the color make for a big impact.
Hopefully your wedding-planning wheels are turning with all sorts of new inspiration! Let us know what your wedding colors are in the comments below! Don't forget to tune in next Wednesday at 10:30 MST on Twitter following hashtag #WedWed for more Wedding Inspiration!
