The engaged man: Forever Pink Prom wedding inspiration
Over the weekend, while covering the Forever Pink Prom for saltlakemagazine.com, I realized The Tower at Rice Eccles Stadium is also a perfect wedding venue, and it was a golden opportunity to scope out the prom venue as a potential location for my own wedding.
The Prom is put on by the Elyse Pantke White Foundation to raise money for breast cancer research in honor of Elyse White, who was killed by the disease at 34. Her husband and family set up the foundation and invite the public and Elyse’s sorority sisters at Kappa Kappa Gamma to the prom each year.
About 400 people made it to this year’s prom, and nearly all of them wore something pink. In fact, anywhere you looked, you’d see pink. If that’s one of your colors, pay close attention.
Hint: The Tower also has its own bridal fair coming up. Click here for info.

A great way to make out-of-town guests find your location, light it up!

DJ Elvis Freshley was the night’s MC and and music man. He plays a good variety from club music and slow jams to much older hits.

Event planners Brighter Day Productions were on-hand the entire night, making sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. Based on what I saw from them at the event, I’d definitely consider using them as planners.
Alliant Event Services, Specialty Linens & Chair Covers and Le Croissant Catering also made the event turn out the way it did.

Bacchus Event Services, Ketel One Vodka and Nuvo were the bartender and drink sponsors for the event.

A major highlight was stepping inside a Funny Face Photo Booth. The company took $5 donations per session for the foundation and provided plenty of pink, boas, scarves, goggles and more. Check out our pics above.
