Trend Report: Oversized Necklaces

The big new trend in bridal accessories? If the oversized baubles at last month's Bridal Fashion Week were any indication, it looks like large, chunky necklaces will soon be all the rage with modern brides.

While at Bridal Fashion Week, Lisa Powelson, managing director of Avenía Bridal in Provo, snapped these photos of large, detailed necklaces at Badgley Mischka and Rivini. "Spectacular!" commented Powelson on the massive baubles. I couldn't agree more. Whether its a chunky pearl choker, strand upon strand of candy-colored jewels, or a large collar of glistening crystals, an oversized necklace is a great way to add interest to an unembellished or simply designed wedding gown. (Of course, if bling is your thing then by all means don a large necklace with an embellished, elaborately designed gown.) One thing is certain, you'll make a big statement on your big day.
