Real Utah Wedding: Jennifer & Dave at La Caille

Nov 13, 2009 - 08:40 AM

I love a soft, muted color pallete as much as the next bride-to-be, but I also love vibrant, saturated color palletes, and nothing makes me happier than when a bride is brave enought to incorporate bursts of bright hues in her wedding. Take Jennifer, for example: for her August nuptials, she chose not two, not three, not even four, but five colors for her wedding: pink, green, orange, yellow and white. "Many people found that to be a lot of color," says Jennifer. "But I really enjoy color and felt that it would look amazing all together—like a tropical garden." Amazing, indeed. Check out her wedding photos by Sarah Drown of Sparkle Photography.

Jennifer and Dave married at La Caille on August 3, 2009. Jennifer wore a beautiful Ulla-Maija Couture gown with a lovely ruffled neckline and sparkly crystal-embellished straps. Tamra Gray created the fun, colorful floral arrangements, from the bridal bouquet to the tall glass cylinder vases filled with drowned orchids and bouquets that decorated the outdoor ceremony.

Jennifer's daughter, Kylie Ray, was her honorary maid of honor. "I feel like something that made my wedding special was having my daughter right there with us," says Jennifer.

A reception at La Caille followed the ceremony. Guests dined and danced, and plenty of toasts were given during the festivities. Carrie's Cakes created a white three-tier cake, accented with colorful blooms. As the night came to an end, Jennifer and Dave took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife.

Congratulations Jennifer & Dave!

Thank you Sarah and Sparkle Photography for sharing their wedding photos!
