Real Utah Wedding: Brenda & Giovanni at Log Haven, Part II

Nov 6, 2009 - 04:04 PM

Earlier today I introduced you to Brenda & Giovanni and their elegant, autumn wedding captuered by Erin Kate Photography. The couple exchanged vows on Log Haven's grounds at the top of Millcreek Canyon among the colorful fall leaves.

Here are some thoughts about the big day from the bride herself: "I loved my calla lily bouquet and my Amy Kuschel dress! Going into the planning I didn't care that much about the dress...I wanted something simple. But when I got to Alta MODA and tried on that dress I realized I do care about the dress!"

Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests went inside Log Haven for a cozy, rustic-chic reception. Log Haven created a custom menu for the formal, seated dinner. Dick's Bakery—family friends of the couple—supplied a three-tier white cake accented with fall-colored flowers for dessert. Simple but stylish table arrangments were created by Carmen Crane, who also designed Brenda's bouquet. "I wanted a wedding that was simple, elegant and intimate," says Brenda. "It was important to us to have a small and intimate wedding surrounded by our closest friends and family."

And Brenda's favorite memory from the wedding? "On the way to Log Haven I told Giovanni's six-year-old daughter, Erin, that her job was to make sure I didn't cry before the wedding and ruin my make-up," recalls Brenda. "As I was walking down the aisle with my dad, I got emotional and Erin jumped out of her chair and said in a very loud whisper, 'Brenda don't cry...your make-up.'"

Congratulations Brenda & Giovanni!

Many thanks to Erin Kate Photography for sharing the beautiful photos!
