Real Utah Wedding: Bethany & Skyler at Chantilly Mansion

Bethany and Skyler were married October 10 at the Salt Lake LDS Temple, followed by a reception at the Chantilly Mansion in Layton. Jacque Lynn Photography captured the couple's big day.

What I love about this wedding is the purple, black and white color pallete, paired with vintage accents. "I think black and white resembles elegance, and I really wanted my wedding to have an elegant look but also show a little of my fun side," says Bethany.

Bethany wore a white satin Allure Bridals ballgown with a chiffon overlay from Fantasy Bridal in SLC. Skyler wore a black tux with a purple vest and bow tie. Bridesmaids wore knee-length purple satin a-line dresses, and flower girls wore satin purple dresses with embroidered black flowers. Bethany loves wild flowers, so she chose white lilies and purple roses, accented with dark purple lisianthus, for all of the bouquets—Silk Petals in Farmington designed the bridal bouquet, and Skyline Floral designed the bridesmaids' bouquets. A black and white damask-motif wedding cake with purple ribbon accents—created by Joann Lane, cake decorator for Chantilly Mansion—matched the reception's black and white damask table runners.

From Bethany: "I think what made my wedding special and unique is that I was really able to bring out my personality through my dress, the bridal party attire, decorations and cake. My wedding dress was perfect for me because I felt like a princess—I even had the tiara—which is something every girl dreams about! My wedding was elegant but also had a spunky feel to it which is how I'd consider myself to be."

 More from Bethany: "My favorite part of the day was the first dance. We danced to the song 'Feels Like Home' by Chantal Kreviazuk. I started to sing the song to Skyler and we both cried."
