Summer Camp: A Fun Theme for Your Summer Wedding

Have fond memories of bunk beds, roasted marshmallows and campfire? Why not plan your nuptials around a summer camp theme for your warm-weather wedding, like Utah couple Paula Fabel and Benjamin Altschuler.

The couple married on August 9, 2008, at the Sundance Resort. Here’s what Paula had to say about their wedding and their nostalgic theme:

“Our theme was summer camp since we both went to camp for over 10 years as kids, and when you are at Sundance Resort it definitely feels like you're a camper all over again. For the rehearsal dinner we made s’mores over fire pits. For the wedding we incorporated natural décor into the setting including a wood and flower chuppah for the ceremony and birch branches, river rocks and moss on the tables at the reception. Our wedding was a destination for most, so our East Coast guests enjoyed hiking and ‘camping out’ in the Sundance Resort cabins, which definitely made the entire event feel like summer camp.”
