Spring Fling: A Night Out at Alta MODA

Last night, local wedding professionals took an evening off photographing, catering and decorating parties to relax and party a little themselves at Alta MODA Bridal Boutique in Salt Lake City.
Some of the best in the Beehive State bridal biz mingled, ate, drank, danced, swapped business cards, raved—and ranted—about recent nuptials, and generally just had a great time.
The guest list included sharp shooters like Dustin Izatt Photography, Retrospect Studios, Rebekah Westover Photography, Kate Benson Photography, Leo Patrone Photography, Jonathan Canlas Photography, Pepper Nix Photography, Zuma Photo, Melissa Brown Photography, Bry Cox Photography and Green Apple Photography, plus fabulous florists like Studio Stems, Every Blooming Thing and Linger Floral, along with tastemaker Carrie’s Cakes, custom invite creator Pink Piggy, and hair and makeup masters Enizio.
The star of the night—aside from Alta MODA’s recent arrival of Vera Wang gowns—was the Foto Cabina photo booth. Guests took turns hopping inside and posing for quick snapshots. The photo booth was so fun —and such a draw—it reminded me what a great feature one would make at a wedding reception.
If you’re not familiar with Foto Cabina photo booths, they feature a black gloss exterior—custom vinyl monograms can be added—and a red velvet interior with a wide bench-seat. Pile on some props (think boas, oversized sunglasses, clown hair or a wedding veil) and hop in the booth to ham it up for four photos. After, 4x6 color pics print off for you to pocket and take home. (The booths use professional-grade photography equipment.)
If last night’s festivities were any indication, a Foto Cabina booth will certainly keep partygoers entertained for hours, and guests will love taking home their snapshots as wedding souvenirs. Check out my pic above with Alta MODA owner Hilary Anderson (we are playing a slow-motion game of patty cake, in case you couldn’t tell).
Thanks for a great night, Hilary and Justin!
