Rockin’ Down the Aisle

Meet Bridget. When she and her fiancé Colby got engaged on New Year’s Eve in New York City this year (Colby proposed just as the ball dropped in the middle of Times Square, no less) they knew their wedding would not be your run-of-the-mill white wedding. Instead, this fun-loving couple thought of black—lots of black, combined with hot pink, and a heavy dose of rock star-style.

And what better place for this Salt Lake couple to throw a rock star-themed wedding than in Sin City? Bridget and Colby are getting married this Saturday at the Montelago Resort in Las Vegas, and yours truly will be one of the many guests in attendance.

I’ll be back on Monday with a full report of the wedding, but for now enjoy Bridget’s bridals, photographed by Shannon Masayo. I love Bridget’s custom Kitty Chen gown (from The Brides’ Shop in Salt Lake City), paired with a black birdcage veil and some serious heavy metal-bling.

I’m off to go pack—leather jacket, black fishnets and Aquanet hair spray? Check, check and double-check.
